At MuniServices, we’re in the business of making our communities better places to live. We help local governments ensure that their revenue streams are producing maximum revenue so they can fund the services and infrastructure improvements their citizens expect and deserve. The practical, ground-level effect of our work is the transfer of revenues to the jurisdiction to which they rightfully belong.
In other words, improving and maintaining all the vital services that help shape the quality of life where we live – the schools, the parks, the police, the cultural amenities – is what we do.
Additionally, our employees volunteer to help many non-profit organizations and charitable causes in the local community. Here are the few of the ways we are making a difference.
MuniServices Cares Team – Moving for a Cure
Employees from MuniServices participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, held in Clovis, CA in April, 2013. With their rock and roll-themed booth, MuniServices’ employees showed their dedication during the 24-hour event, promoting colon cancer awareness and advocating screenings, while providing informational handouts.
Prior to the event, the team began soliciting donations, along with fundraisers held at their booth. This year’s donation goal was set at $2,000. In the end, MuniServices raised a total of $4,614 for the ACS.
The American Cancer Society presented the team with the following awards:
- 1st Place Best Car (Each year, each team builds a car out of cardboard. This is the second year in a row that MuniServices has won this award, as well as the car race.)
- 2nd place for Team Spirit Award
- 2nd place for Best Decorated Site and Mission Delivery
MuniServices’ team consisted of 25 people this year, including employees, family and friends.
